Su: Emzirme döneminde bir bardak su içilmelidir. Günlük 3 litre civarında sıvı alınmasına özen gösterilmelidir.Şekersiz komposto,ayran,bitki çayı gibi sıvlar ayrıca kullanılabilir.
Balık: Bebeğin retina ve beyin gelişimi için haftada 2 kez balık tüketilmesi önerilir.
Kalsiyum: Süt, yoğurt ve peynir tüketimi.
Sebzeler: Havuç, patates,domates tüketimi.
Proteinler: Yumurta,hindi,tavuk,yağsız kırmızı et tüketilmeli.
Karbonhidratlar: Tam tahıl,sebze ve meyveler enerji artırımında yardımcı olur

Pestisitler: Tahıl kalıntılarının bebek sütüne zarar vermemesi adına iyice yıkanmalıdır.
Alkol: Emzirme döneminde alınmaması önerilir
Kafein: Bebeğin rahat uyuyabilmesi adına içilmemesi yada en çok günlük bir fincan kahve tüketimi önerilebilir.
Yer fıstığı: Bebekde alerji yapmaması adına tüketmemek önerilir.
Baharatlı yiyecekler: Aşırı tüketmemeye özen gösterilmelidir.
Gaz yapan besinler: Brokoli,karnıbahar,lahana,bezelye dikkatli kullanılmalıdır.
Emzirme döneminde diyet
Bu dönem bebek sağlığı için gayet önemlidir ve ilk 3 ay diyet yapılmaması önerilir. Sonraki dönemde diyetisyenin sizler için hazırladığı dengeli ve yeterli beslenme programı ile ayda en fazla 2 kilo vermeniz önerilir.
